Hey guys look. It’s Mako’s favorite song.

Haha, no but seriously I love the guy to death but this song is so perfect and it helps that it actually dates back to the 20’s.

So I wouldn’t doubt that this could legitimately be his favorite song.

Lyrics here:

You always hurt the one you love
The one you shouldn’t hurt at all
You always take the sweetest rose
And crush it till the petals fall

You always brea-eak the kindest hear-eart
With a hasty word you can’t recall, so
If I broke your heart la-ast night
It’s because I love you most of all

You always hurt the one you lo-ove
The one you shouldn’t hurt at all
You always take the sweetest ro-ose
And crush it till the petals fa-all

You always break the kindest heart
With a hasty word you can’t recall
So-o if I broke your heart last night
It’s because I love you mo-ost of a-all

You always hurt the one you love
The one you shouldn’t hurt at all
You always take the sweetest rose
Crush it, ti-ill the petals fall

You always brea-eak the kindest heart
With a hasty word you can’t recall, so
If I broke your heart last night
It’s because I love you most of all…

On another note, I really want to make a mass post of 20s-esque music for anyone who is interested. I’ve heard a lot of people who say that they liked how the Track Team did some jazz numbers and I have some jazz music on my iPod that’s been there forever and now I’m rambling.

Point is, would you guys like to hear some 20s music since you all like the Korra soundtrack?

Legend of Korra, “Tenses”

Summary: She learned past tenses, but she also learned that being smart sometimes hurts important people.

Rating: T

Pairing: Makorra or Masami, depending on interpretation

A/N: Playing with styles again.

Hikana comes home proud.

She’s learned a lot today, and she wants to tell Daddy all about it. He always likes to hear how she does in school, and she loves to teach him. Even if it’s the littlest thing, he gets really happy when she talks to him and tells him things.

So, every day when she comes home, she’ll sit down with Daddy at the table and watch while she makes them snacks. While he puts their sandwiches together, she’ll talk about her day.

Mako-Everybody Loves Me (by sweetangel1927)

My new video. Just…. just watch it. xD

'cause fuck the haters

Oh god I don’t know what I want anymore

So it’s obvious that the Masami breakup could be soon. Not saying it for definite but it’s highly possible. I’ve seen a lot of people saying that they hope Asami’s the one to end it because it will make Mako seem less of a douche and all that.

And for the longest time I agreed. But then I got to thinking, “But if Asami breaks up with him and he goes to Korra…it’ll seem like she’s just a rebound/second choice. But if Mako breaks up with Asami and then goes off with Korra, it’ll be cruel and unfair to Asami.”

And for those of you who will say, “But Mako can just wait until everything’s sorted out and then be with Korra!”

._____. No. It doesn’t really work that way. I had a boyfriend (who I actually really, really liked) but broke up with him because I’m not very good with relationships and I felt like I wasn’t enough for him (stupid I know but I was getting really paranoid that he was gonna drop me at any moment). He waited for three months after our breakup until he started going out with someone else, but it still hurt, despite me being the one to break up with him.

My point is…I don’t care how long Mako waits. Asami is still gonna be really hurt.

That’s why I’m not really fond of all the fics going around with Asami saying “Oh you love Korra well I guess you are meant for each other go and be with her Mako.”

Um guys. I realize she’s super nice and all but um…Mako is (was?) her boyfriend and pretty much her only source of comfort after everything she’s been through right now. I don’t think she’d be that easy-going…especially with how she reacted when Bolin told her Mako and Korra kissed. I’m not saying she’s going to go into mega bitch mode but she’s not just going to hand him over like it’s nothing either.

I just don’t know what I want anymore guys.

I want to be done with shipping.

But I can’t.

It’s like drugs.

This has already been said before but I’m going to say it again

Everyone really needs to stop bashing Mako and Asami. I mean really.

First off, everyone has been really pissed at Mako since episode 7 (a few before then as well but it seems as if the majority of the bashers appeared around then). Okay, I understand why everyone was a bit butthurt after that episode because I was too. It was rash of Mako to threaten his friendship with Korra for doing her Avatar duties, but don’t we all do rash things?

Remember when you were a kid and you had that one friend who didn’t do what you wanted or did something in a way you didn’t like and you threatened them with “If you don’t stop and do what I want/like I’m not your friend anymore”?

As immature as it is, that’s kind of what Mako was doing. And despite people thinking “Oh jeez that’s so out of character for him why is he being so immature oh my gosh i hate him now”, that’s actually the kind of guy he is.

Must I bring everyone back to episode 2 with this guy?

When things didn’t go Mako’s way, he automatically blamed Hasook. Yes, Hasook did have some faults in the match, but as a team, they should’ve been working together a bit more instead of Mako yelling at Hasook (although if he hadn’t this series wouldn’t have gotten too far).

But that’s another story for another day.

The point is, when Hasook didn’t show up for the next match, all Mako cared about was “Wow that asshole didn’t show up I can’t believe he would do this now we’re going to have to forfeit god fucking dammit.”

While Korra seems to be a bit more special than that, Mako is just the type of person to detach himself from someone at moment’s notice. Perhaps he trained himself to do this after losing his parents (with the exception of Bolin)?

Either way, I don’t think it was out of character for him to do this. Harsh? Yep. Uncalled for? Oh yeah. But do I completely blame him for saying what he did? Nope not really.

Anyway, moving on to episode 9.

Guys. Give him a break. For real.

He cares about Korra (obviously). He admitted he liked her. We know he has feelings for her even though he has a girlfriend. But in my opinion, I don’t think he’s playing with Asami’s emotions. At all. He likes Asami too.

You cannot honestly tell me that none of you have liked two people at the same time. Because I’ll admit it, I have. In fact, I’ve like three different people while I was dating someone else.

Does that automatically make me some bitch to be hated? Was I playing with my boyfriend’s feelings? No. I liked him too, but I also happened to be crushing on some other people at the same time.

Mako has every right to like these two very beautiful girls at the same time. He’s a guy. An 18-year-old guy at that. He’s young and, from what I gather, still pretty new to this relationship/crushing stuff.

I’m not happy though that Bolin had to tell Asami about the kiss. I was really hoping that Mako would’ve told her because she deserves to hear it from him. But hey. Fictional or not, people make mistakes. In fact, I’m sort of GLAD he didn’t tell Asami.

Because he’s not perfect. And that makes him more realistic and relatable.

I think that as a fandom, when we’re given someone as hot and stunning as Mako, we expect him to be “Mr. Perfect”. He has to be nice to everyone that we like, he has to say what we want him to say, do what we want him to do, ask “How high?” when we say “Jump”.

If someone were to treat you like that, would you think that’s fair at all? No. Because you’re a human being and you can’t live up to everyone’s standards.

I’m not saying you can’t be disappointed in him from time to time. I realize that you can’t force yourself to be tolerant towards him every single second. Don’t worry, he pisses me off too sometimes.

But just because he’s worried about Korra because he happens to still like her despite being with Asami does not automatically make him the target for all of your hate and bashing. Korra means a lot to him and he couldn’t stand that she was gone, supposedly kidnapped by their enemy. Especially since he’s seen firsthand what Amon can do. Wouldn’t you guys be worried too?

I just don’t think Mako should be blamed for anything. I don’t care if you’re a Makorra shipper, Masami shipper, or you don’t ship Mako with anyone, he doesn’t deserve your hate.

I’m sorry that he’s confusing and unpredictable. But you know what? I wouldn’t have him any other way because that makes him more interesting and rounded as a character. I would hate if he didn’t make any mistakes because then he would be flat and boring and I wouldn’t see him in the light I do now.

So haters.

Back off.

I’m not even sorry for how long this is. It needed to be said.

And much more. But if I keep going I’ll probably never stop.

(Damn I didn’t even get to include my Asami haters rant. Maybe later)

I like this as a Masami moment <3

I’m a hardcore Makorra shipper and even I loved this moment to death.

Then again I love everything having to do with protective Mako. But especially this.

Just finished watching episode 5 with my 8-year-old sister
*watching the part where Bolin's asking for advice from Mako*
Me: You know Mako likes Korra too, right?
Her: HE DOES?!
Me: Yeah.
Her: He can't do that!
Me: Do what?
Her: He has to pick one! And he should pick Korra!
Me: I've never been so proud of you

With all of the ships and love triangles in LoK, this is the only song to describe how confusing it gets. I swear it’s perfect.

I was listening to shuffle on my iPod and this song came up. It made me think of the whole love triangle thing going on with Asami/Mako/Korra and I almost burst into tears. The lyrics….they’re so accurate.
